ZTE wins Peruvian contract

23/07/2012

ZTE has won a national 2G/3G wireless network project in Peru with mobile operator Viettel. During the first phase of the project, ZTE will build more than 2000 base-stations. As part of the contract, ZTE will provide its innovative Uni-RAN solution to Viettel. This solution includes a series of products based on SDR technology, which enables operators to deploy their networks in a smarter, more efficient way. SDR-built networks can combine multiple modes and evolve to next generation networks seamlessly. ZTE will also provide operation management services such as its radio network optimisation tool to Viettel. The completed network will provide coverage for all of Peru.
