InfiNet Wireless announces new high-capacity wireless solutions

15/03/2012

InfiNet Wireless has announced the global launch of its new cost effective, high-capacity Subscriber Terminals. The Subscriber Terminals are the latest additions to the company’s InfiMAN 2x2 point-to-multipoint product range, developed to meet the markets’ growing demands for greater network capacity and affordability. The new subscriber terminal solutions will initially be available for the 5GHz frequency bands and can be used for connecting remote locations over longer distances than previously achieved. The terminals can also be deployed in high-density networks allowing partners and customers to connect these locations using the most powerful yet cost-effective wireless solutions in the industry. The aluminum-cast enclosure used for these terminals allows for better protection against the environment and has a number of significant enhancements such as built-in LED indicators for signal strength, as well as for wireless and Ethernet link status. It is smaller and lighter than its predecessor, with more effective wind-load factors and small visual impact, independently of where the unit is physically installed. This new family of subscriber terminals is fully compatible with InfiNet’s existing InfiMAN 2x2 base stations and all units are equipped with the same set of radio, networking and QoS features as InfiNet’s current Smc units.
